Job Summary

TRS Healthcare is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe and successful delivery experience for mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, including monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
  • Assist with deliveries, including cesarean sections and vaginal births.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and provide education and support to promote healthy outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
