Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. As a Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring patients throughout the labor process, providing information and guidance to expectant parents, and administering medications and treatments as ordered.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor patient throughout (before/during/after) the labor
  • Provide information, guidance and hands-on clinical care to expectant parents
  • Monitor fetal heartbeat and length and strength of contractions during labor
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered to assigned patients
  • Provide guidance to new parents on all aspects of recovery and infant care
  • Respond to a medical emergency and alert appropriate team members
  • Flexibility to travel to the assignment location
  • Availability to work the facility's required schedule
  • Willingness to complete onboarding items in a timely manner
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a L&D nurse
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school
  • Current state specific RN license in good standing, or if applicable, a compact state RN license in good standing
  • BLS certification required
