The Primary Care Physician plays a vital role in the healthcare system, providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages. At Miami Beach Medical Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate physician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
- Perform annual evaluations on patients and ensure preventative procedures take place.
- Prescribe medications and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.
- Implement a plan of treatment, including diagnostic studies results.
- Determine final diagnosis.
- Work with staff to ensure that the medical needs of the patients are met.
- Ensure that the patient meets the medical admission criteria.
- Participate in the quality assurance of medical documentation.
- Participate in the utilization review of the billing process.
- Understand and encourage staff alignment with PCMH guidelines.
- Directly supervise the work of medical assistants and phlebotomists.
- Keep medical record documentation according to state and federal regulations and their guidelines.
- Participate in the preparation of super bills.
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida as an MD.
- At least (5) years of experience as a licensed physician.
- Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred.
- Must have EHR experience.
- Microsoft Office programs experience.
