Key Responsibilities- Assists healthcare providers with treatments and procedures, performing select clinical duties as directed.
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patient charts, preparing treatment rooms for examination.
- Performs administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, maintaining records, and filing, while ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- May document provider encounters, listing diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as indicated.
- Transcribes patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association, valid for at least 90 days after start date.
- Ability to draw blood and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain working relationships.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screens.
