Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, execution, and coordination of high-quality homes from inception to completion in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Provide managerial oversight throughout the construction process.
  • Select, coordinate, and manage personnel, materials, budgets, and timelines.
  • Direct and monitor the progress of various projects.
  • Ensure the scheduling, delivery, and utilization of materials meet quality standards, while maintaining worker productivity and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain safe, organized, and compliant job sites.
  • Understand and interpret contracts, plans, construction methods, and regulations.
  • Monitor and control construction expenses to prevent budget overruns.
  • Schedule and manage subcontractors, fostering strong relationships to ensure timely project completion.
  • Ensure all homes and customer walk-through items are completed prior to finalization.
  • Utilize computer scheduling tools effectively.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to cultivate positive working relationships with a diverse range of individuals, including upper management, designers, sales teams, trades, vendors, and clients.
  • Follow up with homeowners to address concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Strong supervisory skills across various levels and personalities.
  • Inspire building partners to achieve high performance standards.
  • Effectively manage time, multitask, and prioritize to meet established objectives and deadlines.
  • Proficient in computer applications for job scheduling, cost management, payroll, and communication with vendors and trades.
  • Capable of making decisive and flexible decisions while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with construction practices and terminology, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Attention to detail and persistence in follow-up.
  • Strong sense of urgency and teamwork.
  • Dependable and reliable work ethic.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and lift/move materials as needed.
  • Daily reporting to the Division/Corporate Office/Community and adherence to established schedules.
  • Proficient in accessing, inputting, and retrieving information from electronic devices.
  • Ability to engage in face-to-face conversations with clients, colleagues, and management.
