Role Overview:

This position is integral to the Lunar Permanence division, which is responsible for developing the various Blue Moon lander product lines. Our mission is to establish sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface, facilitating human presence in space.

As a vital member of the Lunar Transportation Finance team, you will collaborate with a diverse group of specialists, technicians, and engineers. Your passion for safe and repeatable spaceflight will drive your daily interactions with key stakeholders in both the program and finance teams. You will be instrumental in conducting analyses, enhancing execution, and reporting to inform financial and programmatic decisions that shape the future of space exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine financial models in Excel, incorporating industry-specific operating metrics and conducting scenario and sensitivity analyses.
  • Analyze and report on expenditures to ensure alignment with established budgets.
  • Prepare and assess project budgets, providing insightful analysis.
  • Identify and recommend operational improvements, addressing both financial and non-financial risks with appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at cost reduction.
  • Create and present data-driven content to support program, financial, and operational reviews.
  • Conduct termination liability analyses.
  • Perform cost/price evaluations for supplier proposals.
  • Facilitate change analysis.
  • Utilize quantitative and statistical methods for cost analysis.
  • Develop tools for enhanced financial visibility.
  • Conduct risk and opportunity assessments, collaborating with program teams to formulate recovery plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related analytical field.
  • Over 8 years of post-graduate experience in financial analysis, with a strong emphasis on budget preparation and project analysis.
  • Proficient in data mining across varied datasets.
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation abilities.
  • Eligibility as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee/asylee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with SQL and Tableau.
