Janitor
Position Overview:
The janitor role involves performing custodial duties in office spaces, machine shops, manufacturing areas, and other building interiors, along with outdoor facility maintenance and occasional project work. This position also requires collaboration with other Facility Team members as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing machines to sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
- Dust and clean walls, ceilings, windows, and work surfaces, including polishing light fixtures.
- Wash and replace window blinds.
- Move furniture, boxes, and equipment while ensuring cleanliness in those areas.
- Remove stains from carpets, drapes, walls, and floors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Perform seasonal tasks such as raking leaves and cutting grass.
- Assist Facility Team members with project-related cleanup activities.
- Dispose of trash, cardboard, and recyclable materials responsibly.
- Restock supplies in restrooms, copier areas, and break rooms.
- Participate in snow removal and annual facility maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and housekeeping policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Maintain clean, safe, secure, and well-organized work areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
- Ability to interpret manufacturer instructions for cleaning solutions.
- Visual acuity for detailed inspections related to janitorial tasks.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Some travel may be required for this position.
- This is a full-time role with an 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and weekend work as necessary.

- Frequently required to reach, handle, and manipulate objects.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and move throughout the facility.
- Snow removal duties are included.
