Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac Care Specialist to join our team at Albany Medical Center.

This role plays a crucial part in delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with our medical team to assess, coordinate, and manage patient needs throughout their episode of care.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

This position requires a sound understanding of cardiac care principles, as well as the ability to apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, documenting treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Ability to improve job performance through continuing education.
  • Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques, demonstrating ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
Salary Information

$36-$46 hourly range.
