Position Overview

We are currently seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to provide essential support to our residents within our Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care).

Key Responsibilities

This role involves direct care and support services for our adult short-stay patients at our spacious care center. The position includes:

  • 24 hours of work every two weeks
  • Part-time schedule with evening shifts
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotations

Facility Overview

Our innovative senior community is located conveniently near major transport routes and offers a full continuum of care, including Transitional Care, Enhanced Care, and Assisted Living/Memory Care. Essential Duties

The Nursing Assistant will:

  • Assist residents according to their individual care plans, providing personal care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Monitor and record vital signs as per community patient care model.
  • Provide AM/PM care, including peri care and catheter care.
  • Safely turn, lift, or transfer residents with or without assistance.
  • Observe residents and communicate their status to appropriate staff clearly.
  • Document care in the electronic medical record system.
  • Address resident and family concerns effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms and work areas, and report any equipment issues.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Active registration as a Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by the start date.
  • Alternatively, candidates hired into Ebenezer's Nursing Assistant Course or Pre-CNA job will have a 4-month period post-hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with a diverse and geriatric population.
  • Strong communication skills with empathy and understanding.
  • Prior experience as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, or Resident Assistant.
  • Background in customer service settings.
