About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at FutureRecruit. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair issues with trucks and trailers, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and perform scheduled maintenance to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Repair and Replacement: Replace worn-out parts and repair damaged equipment to ensure vehicles are safe and operational.
  • Log Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
  • Equipment Removal: Remove unsafe equipment from service and perform necessary repairs to return it to service.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably with experience working on heavy-duty vehicles.
  • CDL: A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.
  • Tools: Must own and maintain a set of necessary tools for the job.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as experience working with air brakes and fuel systems.
  • DOT Inspection: Knowledge of DOT inspection procedures for trucks and trailers.
  • Hand and Power Tools: Ability to use hand and power tools to repair vehicles.
  • Repair Manuals: Ability to read and understand repair manuals, electrical schematics, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license.
  • Mechanical Skills: Excellent mechanical repair skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to operate a computer and maintain accurate records.
