About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at HCA Florida JFK Hospital. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by developing and implementing individualized therapy programs for patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify communication, cognitive, and swallowing impairments.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to improve patient communication abilities.
  • Evaluate patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as needed to maximize patient outcomes.
  • Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director to determine appropriate patient placement and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Certified Speech Language Hearing (SLP) certification within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Speech Pathologist, Speech Pathologist Intern, or related degree.
