Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our Perinatal Float Pool team at Boston Medical Center. As a Per Diem Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families across the healthcare continuum.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients and families, adhering to the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and coordinate care for patients and their families.
  • Accountable for clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes using the model of care designed by the nursing department.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's degree or Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN). BSN preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing required.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification required. Some units may require Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification.
  • Additional certifications may be required for certain practice areas.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic computer proficiency inclusive of ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with various members of the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.
  • Multilingual skills (beyond that of English) in languages appropriate to the patient populations served by the medical center preferred.
