About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team at Planet Green Search. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the data center industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at data center companies, including site managers and building engineers.
  • Present and explain our value proposition, highlighting the benefits of our data center services.
  • Uncover opportunities for our core services, including energy efficiency solutions, break/fix inventory, and emergency generator pre-heaters.
  • Collaborate with our project development team to finalize technical and financial details for proposals.
  • Develop and write proposals for our core services, and present these proposals to site managers and building engineers.
  • Work with our business development executives to present opportunities to financial decision-makers and higher-level corporate executives.
  • Explain and confidently advocate for our pricing and value.
  • Attend trade shows and arrange booth space for marketing and business development shows.
  • Understand basic data center systems and our ability to improve these systems.

  • Maintain a culture where service (internal and external) is central to all activities.
  • Write, present, and own team and personal goals.
  • Be a team member working towards common company strategic goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least five (5) years in technical or solution-based sales.
  • Completion of formal sales training program / discipline.
  • Data center account experience.
  • HVAC or electrical system experience.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheets and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Orderly thinking and ability to prioritize and produce on concurrent projects.
  • Desire to work in a performance-based, dynamic sales environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
