Job Responsibilities

The Catering Captain is responsible for coordinating the catering staff to ensure that all events are executed seamlessly. This includes:

  • Assessing workload requirements based on catering requests.
  • Collaborating with event leaders to finalize setup details and address any last-minute adjustments.
  • Providing excellent customer service and resolving any guest concerns.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of menu offerings.
  • Guiding staff on expectations for catered events.
  • Assisting in the setup of event spaces to meet specifications.
  • Delivering food and supplies to designated locations.
  • Serving food and beverages to guests with attention to detail.
  • Returning unused items to the catering facility.
  • Ensuring proper food presentation and temperature control, adhering to safety standards.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of all catering equipment.
  • Following approved recipes and production guidelines for food preparation.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • A valid driver's license may be necessary. Candidates should possess or be able to obtain a food handler's permit and/or alcohol service permit as required by local regulations.
