Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician - HVAC Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician - HVAC Specialist to join our team at E.A. Sween Company. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining all HVAC and refrigeration equipment and infrastructure, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Collaborate with vendors to improve processes and maintain facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic processes using appropriate tools.
  • Maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems, interpreting readouts and repairing components.
  • Operate shop equipment, including mills, lathes, drill presses, and welders.
  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance procedures and complete work orders in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Participate in new equipment design and installation projects, engaging in training to enhance skills.
  • Ensure food safety and quality through proper GMPs and LEAN principles.

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills and cross-cultural competence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Drive, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage time and workload efficiently and independently.
  • Highly proficient in electrical troubleshooting and building wiring circuits.
  • High level understanding of pneumatic/hydraulic and mechanical components and circuits.
  • Highly proficient in HVAC repairs and troubleshooting in ammonia and freon-based systems.
  • Degree in Building Maintenance and/or HVAC or equivalent certifications and licenses, and at least two years of industry experience in a like role.
