Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Nurse to join our team at Community Medical Center. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the Interventional Radiology department, including administering moderate sedation and recovering patients post-procedure.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in interventional radiology and patient care.
Requirements
  • Current state RN license
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification upon hire
  • Minimum of three years' experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, or Critical Care (ICU/CC)
  • Experience in all Radiology/Diagnostic imaging modalities: Fluoro OR, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, and general Fluoroscopy required
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN degree
  • Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) and/or Certification in Cardiac Cath Lab or Critical Care
  • Critical thinking skills to anticipate and prevent deterioration in patient stability during and after procedures
  • Experience in assisting with set up of invasive lines such as Arterial Lines
  • PALS and pediatric sedation experience
