Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and plan comprehensive treatment programs to meet the needs of patients
  • Communicate the role of the Recreation Therapist on the treatment team
  • Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to provide high-quality patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement programs to enhance patient outcomes
  • Supervise volunteers and aides to ensure effective program implementation
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Therapeutic Recreation Program
  • 18 months of professional therapeutic recreation experience or equivalent education/experience
  • Current CTRS Certification from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
  • Registered with the Washington State Department of Health as a Recreation Therapist
