Unit Overview

Our 40-45 bed long-term care unit, Hall 1, offers residents daily activities and a wide range of services and support. As a subacute rehabilitation unit with high complexity of needs, our staff members must be compassionate, motivated, and dedicated to helping others in need.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse will utilize a general understanding of the principles of nursing and basic physical assessment skills in the development of and implementation of individualized nursing care plans to ensure that the needs of the residents are met. The LPN will attend to the daily operations of the unit on a per shift, unit level, and assume responsibilities of a leadership role as needed.

Requirements

  • Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
  • Less than one year experience
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing (diploma)
  • License for Practical Nursing and AHA CPR Certification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of Synquest, IV Pump, Phillips Monitoring System, Accucheck, EKG Machine, and Specialty Bed Operation
