Role Overview:

As a Cytotechnologist, you will engage in clinical laboratory science specializing in cytology. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Examining specimens collected from patients to aid in diagnosing, preventing, or treating diseases.
  • Performing additional tasks within the pathology department as directed by supervisory staff.
  • Ensuring high standards in specimen preparation, screening, interpretation, and reporting of microscopic slides efficiently.
  • Participating in performance improvement and quality enhancement initiatives within the department.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree and certification as a Registered Cytotechnologist by the ASCP.
  • A valid Cytotechnology license, including successful completion of competency and proficiency testing.
