Cathodic Protection Specialist

Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is seeking a skilled Cathodic Protection Technician to support our mission to deliver high-quality, technology-based services to our customers. As a key member of our Cathodic Protection/Corrosion team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for gas pipelines and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct cathodic protection surveys and corrosion control services to ensure compliance and prevention program effectiveness.
- Test and troubleshoot cathodic protection system and equipment to ensure effective operation.
- Perform minor field repairs and assist with cathodic protection system installations.
- Assist with atmospheric corrosion inspection and maintenance program to maintain equipment integrity and ensure compliance.
- Utilize Pipeline Compliance System (PCS) software to record, monitor, and evaluate cathodic protection and atmospheric corrosion data.
- Certification, diploma, or degree in corrosion technology or related field.
- 2 or more years of related experience with cathodic protection systems.
- AMPP/NACE certified Cathodic Protection Tester (CP Level 1 Certification) or higher or Equivalent Certification.
- Effective interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
- Valid driver's license and familiarity with CFR 49, Parts 192, 193, and 195.
- Grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 100 pounds), bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, pulling hand over hand, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement, and hearing requirement.
- Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand problems, and collaborate/explore alternative solutions.
