Position Overview:

As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for ensuring a memorable visit. Your duties will include taking and processing orders, managing payments, maintaining cleanliness in dining and guest areas, and delivering exceptional service by adhering to our operational standards with enthusiasm.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 15 years old
  • Availability to work a minimum of 9 hours weekly

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will engage in various tasks and complete all necessary training, including:

  • Participating in Zaxby's Front of House Development Plan
  • Hands-on training at service stations
  • Providing friendly and enthusiastic service to all guests
  • Greeting guests upon entry and thanking them upon exit
  • Staying informed about current promotions
  • Explaining menu items, addressing inquiries, and suggesting additional offerings
  • Representing the Zaxby's brand with enthusiasm
  • Accurately processing orders and guest transactions
  • Entering guest orders into the point of sale system
  • Handling payments, operating cash registers, and maintaining accurate receipts
  • Managing cash transactions, verifying tills, and recording totals correctly
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
  • Maintaining cleanliness in guest areas, including dining rooms, counters, restrooms, and exterior
  • Keeping equipment in good condition and reporting maintenance needs
  • Stocking supplies such as paper goods, condiments, and beverages
  • Organizing and cleaning work areas
  • Completing, packaging, and presenting guest orders accurately
  • Performing other assigned tasks

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, or climbing, including ladder use
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine motor tasks
  • Effective communication skills in speech, reading, and writing
  • Ability to maintain effective visual and auditory perception to respond to the environment
  • Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions and with food allergens
  • Safe operation of restaurant equipment, including knives and fryers
