Job Summary

The Director of Assessment and Accreditation will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of University assessment and accreditation compliance, ensuring alignment with the institutional mission and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement assessment strategies that promote institutional effectiveness and compliance with accrediting bodies.
  • Assessment Management: Manage the assessment process for academic and administrative units, ensuring timely completion of reports and adherence to institutional policies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration with faculty, administrators, and external stakeholders to ensure effective assessment practices and compliance with accrediting bodies.
  • Resource Development: Develop and maintain assessment resources, including rubrics, templates, and training materials, to support faculty and administrators.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Analyze assessment data and produce reports to inform institutional decision-making and improve academic programs.
  • Accreditation Compliance: Ensure compliance with accrediting body standards, including the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and the New York State Department of Higher Education (NYSED).
  • Professional Development: Provide training and support for faculty and administrators on assessment best practices and institutional policies.
  • Assessment Calendar: Maintain a calendar of assessment activities and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of reports and compliance with institutional policies.
  • Communication: Communicate assessment results and recommendations to senior administration and other stakeholders.
Qualifications

A Master's degree is required, with a doctoral degree preferred. Relevant experience in higher education assessment and accreditation is essential.
