Physician Center Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at Concentra. As a Center Medical Director, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leading our clinical team to deliver best-in-class services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and mentorship to clinicians, ensuring a high level of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Director of Medical Operations to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement, workflow optimization, and center performance enhancement.
- Develop and implement clinical strategies and tactics to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
- Mentor and train future clinical leaders, as well as newly hired and tenured clinicians, to foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Director of Therapy Operations to ensure seamless integration of clinical and operational functions.
- Assist in managing staffing and adjusting to unforeseen coverage needs, ensuring optimal patient care and center performance.
- May be required to observe drug/alcohol testing of patients.
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Occupational Medicine from ABMS or AOA.
- Current unrestricted medical license in the state of Ohio, as required for clinical and/or business duties.
- Unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction.
- Medical degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- DOT FMCSA certification.
- Two years' directly applicable experience, including relevant clinical and supervisory experience for clinical scope.
- Two years' experience in managed care and physician management.
- Experience developing and leading medical management and quality improvement programs, preferably in a managed care setting.
