About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team at Jobot. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing all field operations on the construction site, ensuring that self-performed and subcontracted trade work is in compliance with contract documents and the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee, manage, and direct all aspects of a project from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Schedule Development: Develop and maintain the construction schedule in conjunction with the project team to meet milestones and completion dates.
  • Quality Control: Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes, conduct quality control duties, and establish, implement, and manage the project quality control plan.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule, and conduct regular meetings with the project team to discuss progress and resolve issues.
  • Site Safety: Ensure that the worksite remains clean and safe at all times, and that all materials and equipment are installed and tested in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the heavy civil construction industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Proven track record of successfully overseeing heavy civil construction projects from start to finish, thorough understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles, strong knowledge of construction safety laws and regulations, exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, and proficiency in construction management software.
