Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in heavy civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in building wood and metal forms for concrete structures, setting up and securing forms, and maintaining and repairing forms between uses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct and install wood and metal forms for concrete structures, footings, slabs, walls, beams, and columns.
  • Set up and secure forms at the correct location, ensuring stability and alignment, and reinforcing to withstand concrete pressure.
  • Maintain and repair forms between uses to extend lifespan and maintain safety standards.
  • Dismantle, clean, store, or dispose of forms after use.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools to perform work.
  • Adhere to and promote safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards, concerns, or incidents immediately.
  • Communicate and work with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain a productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience as a carpenter on heavy civil construction projects (preferred).
  • Understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers).
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Ability and willingness to work at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, sit, climb, work in challenging environments, and on uneven surfaces, and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to remain alert and see, hear, and respond to team members and the surrounding environment in highly safety-sensitive working conditions and near large heavy civil equipment and/or live traffic.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and ability to follow instructions.
  • Reliable transportation to and from construction sites.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others.
