Tax Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Supervisor to join our team at RSM US LLP. As a Tax Supervisor, you will play a key role in providing exceptional tax services to our clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and driving business growth through strategic tax planning.

• Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Work on multiple complex issues, communicating effectively with clients and team members to facilitate collaboration and risk management.
• Serve as a Career Advisor, mentor, or coach to team members, providing honest and timely performance feedback to support their growth and development.
• Train and develop staff members, enhancing their technical skills and knowledge to drive business growth and excellence.
• Serve as the Tax client service coordinator for assigned clients, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional service delivery.
• Review research findings and ensure conclusions are consistent with firm policies and professional standards.
• Assist with new business development, extended service, and tax issue recognition for existing clients.
• Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and excellence.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a business-related field.
• Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, EA, or a licensed JD.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in public accounting with an emphasis on taxation.
• Experience preparing and reviewing returns with one or more of the following: Partnership, S Corporation, or C Corporation.
• Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
• Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or collect necessary information for tax service requirements.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to work in a collaborative team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Masters of Accounting, Masters of Taxation, or MBA preferred.
• Active CPA, JD/LLM, or EA.
• Experience with private client or business taxation with a desire to grow skills in the Private Company area.
• Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
• Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization a plus.
• Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in dealing with international tax matters is a plus.
