ROLE OVERVIEW:
In this pivotal role, the Vice President of Regional Operations will oversee a network of branches, ensuring outstanding service delivery and market expansion. This leader will mentor branch managers and their teams, fostering an environment that prioritizes member satisfaction and product engagement while embodying our core values. The role includes providing leadership development and supporting the growth of employees across the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership and Development:
- Guide a team to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. Regularly assess talent and plan for succession. Establish clear development objectives, offer coaching, and delegate appropriate projects.
- Commit to continuous learning and professional growth. Collaborate with team members to ensure high engagement levels and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Evaluate performance and recommend actions regarding promotions, disciplinary measures, and terminations as necessary.
- Ensure robust operations across the region through assessments, branch visits, and compliance reviews.
- Continuously evaluate branch operations to maintain high service standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
- Implement best practices across branches to improve operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to devise strategies for growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Implement retail strategies aimed at member acquisition and retention, as well as overall market penetration.
- Work with teams to enhance profitability and service quality.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities focused on sales techniques.
- Oversee local market strategies to attract new members and strengthen community ties.
- Conduct regular sales meetings to maximize team performance.
- Manage expenses within budgetary constraints while upholding service standards.
- Analyze data to evaluate regional performance and inform decision-making.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors to address issues and stay updated on product developments.
- Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Follow established policies to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
- Oversee internal controls to achieve satisfactory audit results.
- Collaborate with department managers to resolve compliance and member-related issues.
- Actively represent the organization at local events and engage in community service.
- Encourage branch teams to participate in community initiatives.
- Build partnerships with local organizations to enhance community outreach.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience and Skills:
- 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in banking leadership and branch operations, with a solid understanding of loan products and deposit growth.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve service and sales objectives.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in various PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and banking operational systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration is required.
- Regular travel to branches within the region is expected.
- Frequent standing and walking; continuous sitting.
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written means.
- Visual acuity for data analysis and presentation preparation.
- Ability to respond positively to stressful situations and assist others in maintaining a harmonious work environment.
