Lead Educator

Join our team as a Lead Educator at The Goddard School of Westampton, NJ, where you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of learners. As a seasoned professional in early childhood education, you will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum and instructional plans that meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with special needs.
About the RoleWe are looking for an individual who is passionate about education and children, with a strong ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting and a High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities, foster a love of learning through creative and engaging teaching methods, and observe and assess children's development and adjust activities accordingly.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment, manage daily routines and transitions smoothly, and address behavioral issues with positive guidance and support.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities, conduct parent-teacher conferences, and provide regular updates.
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and common areas, adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures, and supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities, stay current with best practices in early childhood education, and collaborate with other teachers and staff to share ideas and strategies.
- A competitive hourly wage: $19-$21 per hour.
