About the Role:As a Per Diem Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, rational, and cost-effective drug therapy for patients within the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. This involves assuring the accuracy of drug dispensing, evaluating physician orders, monitoring drug therapy, and communicating with all providers involved in patient care.
Responsibilities:- Assure safe and effective drug therapy for patients
- Evaluate physician orders and monitor drug therapy
- Communicate with providers involved in patient care
- Participate in adherence to Medical Center drug use policy
- Provide pharmacotherapy education and information to physicians, nurses, and residents
- B.S. or Pharm. D. degree in pharmacy required
- Current Pennsylvania licensure or eligibility required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Excellent communication and time management skills
