Davit Technician

At Fairbanks Morse Defense, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Davit Technician to join our team. As a Davit Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, scheduling, testing, and servicing of hydraulic davit systems in the field and other products serviced by Fairbanks Morse Defense.

• Install, schedule, test, and service hydraulic davit systems in the field and other products serviced by Fairbanks Morse Defense.
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude, perform quality workmanship, and be responsive to customer needs.
• Communicate effectively with Region Offices and direct manager.

• High School Diploma or GED required; Crane Operator Certification preferred.
• Associate degree in a technical discipline and four years military experience or relevant industry experience.
• Six years davit experience supporting navy customer or relevant industry.
• Reliable team player who consistently exhibits a professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of test equipment and theory.
• Knowledge of hydraulic equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret diagrams, drawings, and blueprints.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical schematics.
• Understanding of electrical components and systems.
• Able to troubleshoot and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong customer service attitude.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Maintain valid driver's license.
• Able to travel (up to 75%) including weekends, evenings, and holidays and in emergency situations travel on short notice.
