Join Our Team of Early Childhood Educators
Georgetown Hill Early School is a dedicated non-profit institution focused on fulfilling the preschool, elementary, and childcare requirements of families in Maryland. Our mission is to unite educators, children, and their families to deliver an exceptional early childhood learning experience.
We are currently looking for Lead Teachers to enhance our Infant/Toddler and Preschool programs across various campuses.
- Bells Mill - Nestled in the Potomac suburbs, conveniently located near local elementary schools.
- Montgomery Square - Situated on Falls Road, with easy access to major roadways.
- Potomac Village - Centrally located in Potomac Village, with accessible public transportation options.
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Position Details: Full-time roles are available, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Your responsibilities will include addressing the unique needs of our students and promoting their independence in a nurturing and trusting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the educational growth and interests of preschool-aged children through a creative and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Oversee the well-being and safety of preschool children at all times.
- Support the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of each child within the classroom setting.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities within the classroom team.
- Communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community.
- Implement classroom management strategies that foster a safe and positive learning atmosphere for all.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of relevant experience along with the following credentials:
- A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor's degree in a different field with the MSDE 90-hour Preschool/Infant/Toddler Certification.
- Comprehensive understanding of child development principles and effective instructional strategies.
- Strong familiarity with MSDE regulations.
- A warm, friendly, and composed demeanor.
- Proficient in technology, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- A collaborative team player willing to work with others.
In accordance with Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all candidates must undergo and successfully complete a state and federal background check as a condition of employment.
