OverviewFincantieri Marine Repair is seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing pipefitting services for various maritime projects.

Salary:

$24-$28/hour

Job SummaryThis Pipefitter Specialist position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience in pipefitting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read pipe spool schematics, work at heights, and in confined spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications using welding, brazing, cementing, and threading joints.
  • Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, or welding equipment.
  • Cut and bore holes in structures prior to pipe installation using hand and power tools/radius torch.
  • Inspect and examine installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
Requirements
  • Pass vertical and horizontal brazing tests for copper nickel (CuNI) to bronze, steel to CuNI, copper to copper, and other materials.
  • Work at all height levels, including high and low.
  • Work in confined and enclosed spaces.
  • Work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Work non-standard hours as required.
  • Lay out full-scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment following blueprints.
  • Select pipe sizes and types and related materials such as supports, hangers.
