Job Summary

The School Licensed Practical Nurse Ambulatory provides health services to students within the schools, facilitating optimal physical, mental, emotional, and social growth and development. This role involves caring for students with chronic health issues, identifying health needs, and providing health education, medication management, and emotional support. The successful candidate will support Raymond Park Middle School and work collaboratively with the education team to promote healthy habits and overall health.

Responsibilities
  • Provide health services to students, including health education, medication management, and emotional support.
  • Care for students with chronic health issues and identify health needs during the school day.
  • Support the education process by working to assure the health of students.
  • Promote healthy habits and overall health to strengthen maximum learning.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized accredited school of practical nursing or three years related professional nursing experience.
  • Current Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
  • One year or more of nursing experience required.
  • Two years of experience working with pediatric patients required.
  • Excellent communication and team skills.
  • Compassionate and caring with a strong commitment to patient care.
