Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team at Alarm.com. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative hardware solutions for our smart security and IoT products.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with our VP Technology to implement new hardware designs
  • Develop system architectures and project plans for new product evaluations
  • Design and develop hardware components, including schematic design, PCB layout, and design verification
  • Collaborate with RF design engineers to optimize RF performance and minimize EMI
  • Work closely with Mechanical design engineers to meet product requirements with challenging space constraints
  • Collaborate with Firmware engineers to ensure efficient hardware verification and board bring up

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a similar technical discipline
  • 8+ years of electrical HW engineering experience, including schematic capture, layout design, and hardware bring-up
  • Skilled in circuit design, simulation, and testing
  • Knowledgeable and forward-thinking regarding technologies and developments in low power design
  • Rigorous attention to detail with focus on robustness, scalability, and quality of products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
