About the Infectious Diseases Division
The Infectious Diseases Division at Dell Medical School is a dynamic and rapidly growing program. We are seeking a talented physician to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care, advancing medical knowledge, and promoting health and well-being in our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for outpatient populations and supervise/residents and medical students as an Infectious Diseases consultant and attending.
- Participate in scholarly activities, including quality improvement projects, clinical research, and educational scholarship.
- Contribute to the development of innovative undergraduate and residency curricula in Infectious Diseases.
- Collaborate with colleagues to advance the mission of the Department of Internal Medicine and the Dell Medical School.
Requirements
- MD degree with Board Certification (or Board Eligibility if within 2 years of residency) in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
- Strong clinical teaching and communication skills.
- Training and experience in quality improvement initiatives.
- Eligible for appointment as an assistant professor or higher level.
- Record of leadership and achievement in academic medicine.
