Medical Infusion Specialist

We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Metro Infectious Disease Consultants in Roanoke, VA. As an Infusion Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for the supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a PRN basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer IV therapy via electronic pump, troubleshoot pump alarms, and maintain peripheral IV catheters.
- Prepare medication for IV administration as ordered.
- Document infusion charting and patient messages in the EMR system.
- Address patient questions and concerns related to adverse effects, diagnosis, treatment, etc.
- Use clinical judgment to evaluate patient care needs and establish priorities.
Requirements:
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
- Nurse Practitioner experience, preferably in an infusion-related setting.
- INFUSION EXPERIENCE required.
- Chemo experience preferred but not required.
- Proof of current vaccinations, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
Compensation: $60-$65/hour. Flexible schedule available.
