Position Overview

We're seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to drive revenue by providing exceptional client services. This role involves building relationships, sharing style and product information, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment. The ideal candidate will consistently achieve individual goals, supporting store objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Embody our values and set an example through behavior
  • Ensure compliance with all Knitwell Group practices and procedures
  • Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager, Co-Manager, and Sales Leads
Revenue Generation
  • Meet or exceed divisional, store, and individual financial and credit goals, contributing to the store's overall objectives
Client Experience
  • Provide excellent client service by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and adhering to Knitwell Group service standards
  • Build relationships with clients, create loyalty, and multitask while servicing internal and external clients
  • Address client concerns, resolve issues when possible, and involve management as needed
  • Portray a gracious, friendly, energetic, and engaging manner, remaining respectful and professional
  • Take ownership, solicit feedback for growth, and consistently receive positive, unsolicited client feedback
  • Communicate effectively with store management, team members, and external clients in person, through written correspondence, and over the phone
  • Build collaborative and productive relationships by sharing ideas, treating others fairly, and valuing differences
  • Embody our values and behaviors, inspiring the team through example, and support an environment of learning and trust
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies, practices, and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local laws
Operations
  • Complete opening and closing procedures, prioritizing client focus (e.g., replenishing merchandise, recovering the store, processing shipments)
  • Meet merchandise processing standards and maintain an organized work area
  • Adhere to Loss Prevention practices, reporting potential incidents to ensure shortage control and protect company assets
  • Maintain a safe work environment, reporting potential hazards to store management
  • Participate in inventory preparation and assist with additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Report to work as scheduled, record time accurately, and remain flexible to meet business needs
  • Follow all Knitwell Group operational guidelines, processes, and procedures
  • Review Bulletin Boards daily
Technical Expertise
  • Demonstrate a desire and ability to learn and navigate Knitwell Group's computer systems
  • Perform register transactions quickly and efficiently (e.g., sales, returns, exchanges, payments)
  • Be proficient in using Distributed Order Maintenance (DOM's) and StyleFinder to locate product for clients and process transactions accurately
  • Operate the phone, answering calls with an appropriate greeting, transferring, and placing calls on hold
  • Operate and understand the functions of the Point of Sale (POS) system
Product/Brand Management
  • Understand and articulate the Company's brand positioning, including the uniqueness of all expressions of Knitwell Group, current marketing initiatives, markdowns, POS events, and lifestyle concepts
  • Live the Knitwell Group Purpose, Values & Behaviors, and Practices in all interactions
  • Participate in and attend Store Meetings
  • Proactively use associate education tools to build product and styling knowledge with peers
  • Embrace fashion, understand current market trends, and articulate them using Knitwell Group interpretations in every client interaction
  • Packages and wraps client purchases according to Knitwell Group standards
Requirements
  • Client Service: Function as a role model, ensuring the client remains the top priority, and take initiative to build a loyal client base
  • Follow Directions: Prioritize and meet deadlines as assigned with minimal supervision and within designated timeframes
  • Merchandising: Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement and maintain with Knitwell Group's guidelines
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with Clients, Members of Management, Business Partners, and Store Associates
  • Accuracy: Handle cash and provide change without error
  • Schedule: Remain flexible in scheduling that meets the needs of the business
  • Physical: Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally, maneuver effectively around the sales floor and stock room
Educational Requirements and Experience
  • Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year sales associate or relevant experience in the services industry with proven results
