Emergency Room Nurse

About the RoleAs an ER RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our state-of-the-art emergency department. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages, from minor injuries to critically ill patients. Your expertise and compassion will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Triage and assess patients of all ages, prioritizing their needs and providing individualized care
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously, providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs continually
- Act in a composed and professional manner, even in high-pressure situations
- Provide follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts
- Coordinate functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, while being patient-focused and safety-aware at all times
- Registered Nurse in the state of Alaska
- Associate Degree
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric (ENPC)
- TNCC
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) optional
