Caregiver - Certified Nursing Assistant

This position is responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), LPN/LVN, or Director of Health & Wellness at The Addison of McCullough Place.
Key Responsibilities- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output to ensure accurate tracking of resident health.
- Recognize and report any abnormal changes in body functioning to a supervisor, ensuring prompt attention to resident needs.
- Assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living to promote resident independence and dignity.
- Transfer, position, and turn residents safely and efficiently to prevent injury or discomfort.
- Provide skin care to residents, including cleaning and dressing wounds, to promote healing and prevent infection.
- Contribute to the resident's assessment and plan of care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services to help residents regain strength and mobility.
- Follow the schedule of resident needs set out by supervisor to ensure timely and effective care.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
- Promote and protect resident rights, including the right to make informed decisions, and treat residents with dignity and respect.
- Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns, ensuring prompt attention to resident needs.
- Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of residents, promoting a sense of autonomy and self-worth.
- Respect residents' confidentiality, maintaining the trust and confidence of those in our care.
- Familiarize yourself with emergency equipment and procedures, ensuring prompt response to any crisis situation.
- Understand duties during a fire drill and be familiar with evacuation plans, ensuring resident safety in the event of an emergency.
- Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and company policies.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, preservation of equipment, and achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers, promoting a culture of respect and teamwork.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of The Addison of McCullough Place, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
