Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled School Social Worker to join our team at AnthroMed Education. As a key member of our staff, you will provide critical support to students in a therapeutic day setting, promoting their academic, social, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Evaluate students' needs through formal assessments and develop tailored action plans to ensure their success.
  • Advocate for Students' Rights: Act as a liaison between students, schools, and community resources to ensure students' rights and needs are met.
  • Foster a Positive School Climate: Develop and maintain an inclusive and supportive school environment that promotes the well-being of all students.
  • Collaborate with Educators and Staff: Work closely with teachers and school personnel to identify and support at-risk students, promoting a culture of academic excellence and social responsibility.
  • Maintain Confidential Records: Keep detailed and confidential records of student interactions, progress, and interventions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Master's (MSW) or Doctoral Degree in Social Work: A graduate degree in Social Work is required, with a focus on child and adolescent development, mental health, and education.
  • IL PEL with Endorsement in Social Work: A valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Social Work is necessary for this role.
  • Previous Experience in K-12 Setting: While not mandatory, previous experience in a K-12 setting is highly desirable, demonstrating a strong understanding of the educational environment and student needs.
