We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Engineer to join our team at Arrow Electronics. As an FPGA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing digital circuits and systems using RTL, timing closure, verification, and system integration.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Capture requirements and design digital architectures for ASIC and FPGA projects
- Develop and implement RTL code using VHDL/Verilog
- Conduct timing analysis and closure for digital circuits
- Verify and integrate digital systems
- Recommend new tools and practices for continuous improvement in the design flow
- Contribute to engineering estimates for new program pursuits
- Provide technical leadership for project design teams
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proficiency in RTL coding and simulation using VHDL/Verilog
- Experience with digital circuit architecture, design, and resource tradeoffs
- Knowledge of timing analysis and closure
- Proficiency in using ASIC and/or FPGA simulation and synthesis tools
- Experience with Git, Subversion, and Unix scripting
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Skills
While not required, experience with the following skills is highly desirable:
- Best practice chip-level verification techniques and languages
- ASIC and FPGA lab validation with advanced lab equipment
- Design for Test (DFT) and manufacturability issues
Education and Work Arrangement
A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required. This is a fully on-site position, and you must be able to travel to an Arrow Client office location as requested.
Location and Time Type
This position is located in Cedar Rapids, IA, and is a full-time position.
