Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audiovisual (AV) Technician to join our team at Avidex Industries LLC. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining AV systems, equipment, and materials in various settings, including executive boardrooms and construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure AV equipment, including speaker systems, flat panel displays, projectors, and projection screens.
  • Assist with gathering equipment manuals, unused installation equipment, and materials, and pass them on to the Project Manager at the close of each job.
  • Work with the Foreman or Project Manager to ensure physical completeness is in accordance with the project plan, drawings, and specifications.
  • Follow safety standards as required by OSHA and management, and attend site and department safety and coordination meetings as required.
  • Attend training classes and maintain certifications as required by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience installing AV/IT systems is preferred.
  • Must maintain a valid state installation license and/or certificate as required by state law.
  • Must attain a powder actuated tool certification.
  • Working knowledge of AV/IT trade tools preferred.
  • Capable of using construction equipment, including scaffolding, lifts, hoists, pulleys, etc.
  • Must have basic computer skills, including proficiency using Windows and MS Office.
  • Capable of installing and mounting AV equipment to various structure types.
  • Able to follow instructions and work in a team environment as needed.
  • Projects vary in length and locations, and may require overnight travel and stays.
  • Work hours will vary according to individual projects, and may require early, late, or weekend commitments.
  • The working environment requires the use of various power tools and exposure to electricity, heights, construction hazards, etc.
