Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and mentor staff during assigned shifts, determining staffing levels and assignments based on staff availability, abilities, census, and patient acuity.
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care as needed, float between staff to assist with problem-solving, and take patient assignments to meet staffing needs.
- Evaluation and Quality Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, identify issues that affect desired patient outcomes, and respond to complaints about patient care and related services.
- Administrative Duties: Perform role-specific duties, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers, ensuring staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience.
- Licensure: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- Experience: 1 year of nursing experience and relevant certification as determined at position level.
