Correctional LPN Job Opportunity

At American Medical Staffing, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a correctional setting. As an LPN in this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients while working in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced LPN to provide high-quality patient care in a correctional facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of RNs or physicians
  • Monitor patients' vitals and symptoms, administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate interventions as needed
  • Document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations accurately and timely
  • Educate patients on self-care techniques and promote health education within the correctional facility
Requirements
  • Valid LPN license
  • At least 1 year of experience in a corrections or similar setting
  • Ability to obtain VA and/or compact licensure

  • Competitive pay rate: $1,024 to $1,224 per week
