About the Role

The Behavior Specialist II is a key member of our treatment team, responsible for providing consultation to treatment teams on instructional strategies, evaluating individual behavior issues and skills that impact learning, and developing, implementing, and monitoring the effectiveness of behavior plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation to treatment teams on instructional strategies to support individualized learning plans.
  • Evaluate individual behavior issues and skills that impact learning, and develop targeted interventions to address these challenges.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of behavior plans, ensuring that they are aligned with individualized learning plans and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Provide support to acute behavior issues, working closely with treatment teams to develop and implement crisis intervention plans.
  • Furnish data for psychiatric consults and provide counseling services when credentialed to do so.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 BIS certification, with a Master's degree in a field such as behavior analysis, clinical or community psychology, or a related human services field.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License.
