We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Kindred Hospitals. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medication, perform treatments, and provide patient care responsibilities as prescribed by a Registered Nurse.
- Consult with and keep Registered Nurses informed of activities, symptoms, reactions, and changes in patient condition.
- Provide pain management techniques and educate patients and families regarding pain management.
- Administer medication following the five rights of medication administration within scope of practice.
- Assist with rehabilitation and treatment of patients in accordance with the medical plan of care.
- Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and special procedures.
- Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity.
- Identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.
- Interact professionally with patients/families and involve them in the formation of the plan of care.
- Assist with admitting, discharging, and transferring of patients.
- Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family; communicate with Social Services/Discharge Planner regarding both in-hospital and post-discharge needs.
- Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurses.
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse License.
- BCLS Certification.
- Intravenous Blood Certification preferred.
- Minimum six months prior experience in an acute care setting preferred.
