About the Role:The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services, requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family.
Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LVN/LPN will perform various tasks, including triage, patient assessment, and medication administration.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care services, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration.
- Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- IV certification upon hire; Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification preferred.
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certificate required 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- PALS (AHA/ARC) certificate required 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- NRP certificate required 90 days of hire and maintain current.
- EDAP certificate required 6 months of hire and maintain current.
