Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Summit Health Inc. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs, and other patient care activities as ordered or indicated.
  • Collect and document vital signs, histories, and screenings.
  • Authorize prescription refills as directed by the provider.
  • Prepare patients, rooms, and supplies for visits or examinations.
  • Perform phlebotomy and correctly process specimens.
  • Clean and maintain treatment rooms and equipment.
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Assistant or eligible within 90 days of hire.
  • 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred; required within 90 days of employment.
  • High School Diploma/Equivalency required.
