Job Title: Semiconductor Field Service Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Semiconductor Field Service Technician to join our team at Affinity Executive Search. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for semiconductor equipment in the field. This includes monitoring, inspecting, setting up, calibrating, and maintaining semiconductor process equipment to prevent downtime. You will also troubleshoot hardware and software-related issues, collect data, and document all maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and inspect semiconductor process equipment to prevent downtime.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software-related issues and implement solutions.
  • Collect data for software-related issues and discuss with global headquarters.
  • Document all maintenance activities and provide field service reports.
  • Install equipment control software and maintain a record of software revision history.
  • Participate in the installation of equipment at customers' sites.
  • Monitor stock levels of service parts and equipment to ensure adequate inventory is available for repair work.
  • Provide training and assistance to other technicians.


Requirements:

  • AS degree is required; a Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Years of experience with PVD or semiconductor vacuum equipment.
  • Candidates without an AS or BS may be considered with equivalent experience in the same field.
  • Multi-chamber cluster systems and robotics experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings for troubleshooting.
  • Experience with PLC and other software applications is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently following 3-6 months of on-the-job training.
  • Must have analytical skills for problem analysis and resolution.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts.
  • Requires ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
  • Bilingual communication skills are helpful but not required.
  • Ability to sustain a substantial amount of standing, walking, typing, grasping, talking, and hearing, as well as occasional kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or a ladder.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive situation with quick resolution.
