Senior Business Consultant - UAH APEX Program

As a key member of the UAH APEX team, you will:

  • Offer specialized knowledge, guidance, and support to entrepreneurs across a range of small business topics, including government procurement, market analysis, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist clients in crafting comprehensive business strategies, financial oversight, and expansion plans.
  • Oversee client portfolios, perform market evaluations, and provide insights on government certifications and ownership matters.
  • Mentor and direct junior staff and interns in their professional development.
  • Design training programs, create presentations, and act as a Subject Matter Expert at community engagements.
  • Ensure contract objectives are met, maintain detailed client documentation, and coordinate program initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the College of Business to contribute to strategic planning efforts.
  • Enhance the visibility of UAH SBDC/APEX services through effective digital marketing, social media outreach, and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline along with 5-9 years of pertinent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite coupled with outstanding communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree is favored, with experience in government finance, contracting, and consultancy being advantageous.
Salary Range:
$63,334 - $79,167
